Sweet and Sour Tofu Recipe

                                                 

Sweet and Sour Tofu Recipe is a unique dish with some burnt garlic fried rice for your child tiffin box. Sweet and Sour Tofu is a tasty as well as healthy sweet and sour chickpeas recipe. Kissan tomato ketchup to the dish delivers the perfect balance of sweetness that your kids will love to eat.

INGREDIENTS

  1. Cooked rice: 1 cup
  2. Finely chopped carrot, capsicum
  3. Firm tofu: 50 grams (1/4 block)
  4. Kissan Fresh Tomato Ketchup: 2 teaspoons
  5. Soya sauce: 1 teaspoon
  6. Vinegar: 1/2 teaspoon
  7. Sesame seeds: 1/2 teaspoon
  8. Oil: 2 teaspoons
  9. Spring onion greens: 2 tablespoons
  10. Finely chopped garlic: 2 teaspoons

METHOD OF PREPARATION

  1. In a medium bowl, whisk together Kissan Fresh Tomato Ketchup, soy sauce, vinegar and sesame seeds.
  2. Toss diced tofu into this mix and marinate for 10 minutes.
  3. Tofu is a bland of ingredient and ketchup will help by adding flavour to the tofu making it appealing to kids.
  4. Meanwhile, prepare rice.
  5. Heat 1 tsp of oil in a nonstick pan.
  6. Add garlic and saute until its quite golden brown in colour.
  7. Toss rice in this along with a pinch of salt, pepper and spring onion greens.
  8. Remove and pack in the lunch box.
  9. Heat 1 tsp oil in the same pan.
  10. Toss the marinated tofu in this on high flame until glossy - 1 minute roughly.
  11. Transfer sweet-sour tofu over the rice in the box.
