Sweet and Sour Tofu Recipe
Sweet and Sour Tofu Recipe is a unique dish with some burnt garlic fried rice for your child tiffin box. Sweet and Sour Tofu is a tasty as well as healthy sweet and sour chickpeas recipe. Kissan tomato ketchup to the dish delivers the perfect balance of sweetness that your kids will love to eat.
INGREDIENTS
- Cooked rice: 1 cup
- Finely chopped carrot, capsicum
- Firm tofu: 50 grams (1/4 block)
- Kissan Fresh Tomato Ketchup: 2 teaspoons
- Soya sauce: 1 teaspoon
- Vinegar: 1/2 teaspoon
- Sesame seeds: 1/2 teaspoon
- Oil: 2 teaspoons
- Spring onion greens: 2 tablespoons
- Finely chopped garlic: 2 teaspoons
METHOD OF PREPARATION
- In a medium bowl, whisk together Kissan Fresh Tomato Ketchup, soy sauce, vinegar and sesame seeds.
- Toss diced tofu into this mix and marinate for 10 minutes.
- Tofu is a bland of ingredient and ketchup will help by adding flavour to the tofu making it appealing to kids.
- Meanwhile, prepare rice.
- Heat 1 tsp of oil in a nonstick pan.
- Add garlic and saute until its quite golden brown in colour.
- Toss rice in this along with a pinch of salt, pepper and spring onion greens.
- Remove and pack in the lunch box.
- Heat 1 tsp oil in the same pan.
- Toss the marinated tofu in this on high flame until glossy - 1 minute roughly.
- Transfer sweet-sour tofu over the rice in the box.
