Besan Tomato Omelette Recipe
Besan tomato omelette or tasty veg omelette which is inspired by eggless omelette. Kissan Tomato Ketchup it takes an altogether different fervour and flavour and renders a perfect taste that the kids so love and ensuring the tiffin comes back empty.
INGREDIENTS
- Besan: 1/2 cup
- Baking Soda: 1/4 Teaspoon
- Lemon juice: 1/4 teaspoon
- Kissan Fresh Tomato Ketchup/Tomato Puree: 1 tablespoon
- Pepper pinch
- Small chopped tomato: 1
- Small onion sliced into thin roundels: 1
- Coriander chopped: 2 tablespoons
- Oil to cook: 2 teaspoons
METHOD OF PREPARATION
- Mix all the ingredients except onion and oil, in a bowl. Add 3-4 tbsp of water to make a thick batter.
- Heat oil in a non-stick pan. Arrange the onion slices at the bottom of the pan, in a single layer.
- Allow this to cook for 30 seconds on a medium flame.
- Pour prepared batter over the arranged onion slices. Cover and allow to cook for 6-7 mins on a low flame.
- Carefully flip over and cook the other side for 2 minutes with the pan open.
- Cut into wedges and pack.
- Ketchup enhances the tomato flavor in the besan omelette.
